Seven Decades
Born in Slovenia
Klenovo, near Rimske Toplice. Eighth child of Franc and Helena Vodlan.
Art Academy, Linz
Enrolled at the Art Academy in Austria under Professor Herbert Dimmel. Graduated with honors in 1963.
Comes to America
Immigrated after graduating. Established the art club Lok in Cleveland with France Gorse and Miro Zupancic.
Vatican Permanent Gallery
Work exhibited at the Vatican, Italy — a landmark recognition at age 27.
Embassy of Slovenia
Solo exhibition at the Embassy of Slovenia in Washington DC, featuring 30 works.
Charlotte, North Carolina
Continues creating artwork in his home studio with his family.
